Next, download Pokémon Bank from the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo 3DS. Pokémon Bank is compatible with the following games: Ask an experienced tech reviewer and they'll say the same, 3D failed. To get started, you will need a Nintendo 3DS Pokémon game cartridge inserted into your Nintendo 3DS (or have a digital download of the game) installed on your Nintendo 3DS. 3D in cinema just about works, but even so it's not great, a lot of people can't experience it and in some cases it's plain unnecessary.Īpologies for the negativity, despite that I bet some folks will somehow feel offended anyway, about the way I talked about 3D. 3D TVs and 3D monitors? 3D blu-ray players? Good luck finding one, those were a commercial flop. The 3D effect has done nothing but hinder games, making them perform worse. I know an awful lot of folks with a 2DS and who are happy playing on their 2DSs. I feel the 3D effect on the 3DS has only held the system back. how many times how you actually used the 3D features on your 3DS? Outside of when I first unboxed my 3DS and tested it out, I only used it in Fire Emblem Awakening for a bit, before ditching it because it made the game a bit more fiddly to play (can't hold the 3DS too close or too far). The stereoscopic 3D effect is a gimmick and nothing more. To be honest I'm not bothered as I find 3D to be annoying in Pokemon anyway, since it screws up the frame rate so bad. I'm thinking that the entire game might do away with 3D on the original 3DS, and reserve any 3D functionality for the New 3DS only. How can all of this detail be shown in 3D when XY/ORAS couldn't even handle double battles on a wireframe background? The battle screens are also much more diverse, appearing to be more accurate to the actual location of the battle. In Sun & Moon, we see a trainer battle which shows both trainer models, and even spectator models in the background.

I was expecting an upgrade in ORAS, but it looks like Gamefreak simply can't figure this out. As soon as you get into double battles (4 models,) the game can no longer support 3D. In XY, 3D is only supported in single battles, and there are no trainer models on screen. I'm beginning to think that the regular 3DS won't be able to support 3D at all in sun & moon.
